The Connecticut State Rifle & Revolver Association, Inc. (CSRRA) was formed in 1927 with the principal object the development of shooting sports athletes of the highest class through the sponsoring of small arms competitions, the conduct of junior and adult shooter development programs and the representation of the state of Connecticut in competitions at the local, state, national and international levels.
The Association has also the subsidiary object of the promotion of public safety and the social welfare, law, order, justice, and the national defense through the education and training citizens of good repute in the safe and efficient handling of small arms, and the encouragement of lawful ownership and lawful use of small arms for sport and recreation.
We are the only Official NRA State Association in Connecticut

Why should I become a member?
- Membership is the best way to support your love for shooting sports in the great state of Connecticut; as well as offering benefits such as being able to purchase firearms and ammunition from the Civilian Marksmanship Program, attending our annual meeting and receiving the quarterly newsletters from CSRRA.
- We offer our members information on related to the gun laws in Connecticut as well as upcoming events related to firearms across the state.
- Other states such as New York require competitors to be members of their state association to qualify if participating as an out of state competitor in their state championship matches.

Organization Members
Organization Members shall be any organized group, the purposes of which are in harmony with the objects of the Association. Membership is the best way to support your love for shooting sports in the great state of Connecticut. Our goals are to help support those who patriciate in the sport and to help introduce others into the sportsmanship as well as safe firearm handling and training.
We hope we can help clubs and other entities by introducing other organizations by working with each organizational member to help us host some of our annual events at new locations each year which gives their members the opportunity to be close some of the best events the CSSRA has to offer!
We also hope to help encourage new permit holders to come as it gives them an opportunity to view many different clubs and organizations that exist across Connecticut. If you are a club that is looking for more members, please reach out to the CSRRA Membership Director.
